How does someone get a diagnosis without understanding what's going on?

I have been on a diagnosis journey for two to three years. My primary symptoms are syncope, joint and muscle pain, and gastrointestinal issues. My pain is debilitating and has been classified as chronic, intractable and widespread. Sometimes my leg pain is so severe that I can't even walk. I have bleeding with bowel movements and excessive sweating. At night, I get extremely hot and tired, and nothing helps. I have a list of other extended symptoms here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_A9pycIHkmi4qiCXGsUML5hlyLJ6UjWrC0JHp477NfY/edit?usp=sharing

  1. I think you bring up a valid question, ! It's pretty hard to get a proper diagnosis when you don't even know where to start or what kind of a doctor to see first. I did check out your list of symptoms and wow; your organization skills are top notch! Have you seen any specialists? I would assume you have seen some doctors, since you have been on this journey for a couple years now.

To state the obvious, you are dealing with a LOT of symptoms. Have you been able to learn which symptoms could possibly be related to any medications you regularly take? And have doctors offered you any guidance at all?

    1. Hello .

I understand some of the basics, like what leads to what, but understanding exactly what's going on is nearly impossible. Thank you! I have seen a specialist physician (internal medicine), GP, gastroenterologist and got some tests run by a rheumatologist, but based on the results, they decided not to see me.

I know the iron deficiency is probably my meds. So is weight gain. But I'm unsure about the twitching etc.
